Born in 1957, my personal journey toward sovereignty began in my 20s during the transformative era of The Goddess Movement. This movement, emerging alongside the second wave of feminism from the 1960s to the mid-1980s, profoundly reshaped feminist thought. It challenged patriarchal religious traditions, reclaimed female spirituality, and inspired women like me to explore and celebrate the divine feminine, long marginalized in mainstream practices—a legacy that continues to evolve today.

During this awakening, I discovered the Sumerian goddess Inanna through Inanna, Queen of Heaven and Earth: Her Stories and Hymns from Sumer (1983), a collaboration by American folklorist Diane Wolkstein and Sumerian scholar Samuel Noah Kramer. Inanna’s stories—her early struggles with love and her profound descent into the underworld—resonated deeply with me, inspiring a lifelong connection to her mythos.

Inanna’s journey to the underworld, in particular, serves as a powerful metaphor for a woman’s path to self-awareness and personal sovereignty. Her passage through the seven doors, and the realization of their alignment with the Seven Chakras, became the foundation for my creation: the Oracle of the Seven Doors Oracle Deck. Oracle of the Seven Doors Deck
This 50-card deck features the Seven Doors and 43 Key Cards. The concept is simple yet profound: draw a Door Card to represent the essence of the reading and identify where the Oracle invites you to focus your energy, then draw Key Cards for guidance and insights.  The guidebook will offer additional journal prompts for those who want to dive deeper into potential shadow aspects of the reading.

The Art
The very first card, Listen, began as my first watercolor painting 28 years ago. It depicts Inanna at the last door to the underworld—naked, vulnerable, and ready to transform. Every card in this deck is infused with my artistic journey, created using various mediums, including watercolor, acrylic, oil, collage, and digital art. Each image represents a piece of my personal evolution—examining outdated beliefs, breaking patterns that no longer serve me, reclaiming my power, and stepping into self-awareness, which is the beginning to any real change.
